This morning, Governor Northam announced his proposed budget amendments to the Joint Money Committees. The Governor's proposal includes approximately $88 million to increase the previously approved 3% teacher pay raise to a 5% pay raise, effective July 1, 2019. Also included is approximately $36 million to fund additional school counselor positions.
