The 2011 session of the Virginia General Assembly began at noon today. A couple things of particular interest to us occurred today. First, Del. Roxann L. Robinson was appointed to the House Education Committee. Then, in its first meeting of the session, the House Appropriations Committee received a budget briefing from committee staff. The bills continued to pour in today as legislators return to Richmond. Over the next few days, we will continue to highlight some important bills that we will be following this session.
